Eligibility Criteria for LIC AAO & AE Recruitment
Candidates must meet specific educational qualifications and age limits to be eligible:
Educational Qualifications:
- AAO (Generalist): Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University.
- AAO (CA): Bachelor’s Degree and must have passed the Final Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), along with completion of articleship.
- AAO (CS): Bachelor’s Degree and must be a Qualified Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
- AAO (Actuarial): Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline and should have passed at least 6 papers from the Institute of Actuaries of India or the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK.
- AAO (Insurance Specialist): Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a professional qualification in Life Insurance (Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India - Life) and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Life Insurance companies regulated by IRDAI.
- AAO (Legal): Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST and PwBD candidates) from a UGC-recognized institution.
- Assistant Engineer (AE) (Civil/Electrical): B.Tech/B.E. in Civil or Electrical Engineering from an AICTE-recognized institution, with a minimum of three years of post-qualification experience in planning and execution of multi-storied building projects.
Age Limit:
- AAO (Legal) & AAO (Chartered Accountant): Minimum 21 years, Maximum 32 years as on 01.08.2025. (Born between 02.08.1993 and 01.08.2004)
- Other AAO Posts & AE Posts: Minimum 21 years, Maximum 30 years as on 01.08.2025. (Born between 02.08.1995 and 01.08.2004)
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD (General): 10 years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
- PwBD (OBC): 13 years
