- For Constable (Cobbler, Tailor, Washerman, Barber, Sweeper, Khoji/Syce): Proficiency in the respective trade is mandatory. Candidates must also qualify in the trade test conducted by the BSF recruitment board.
- For Constable (Cook, Water Carrier, Waiter): Candidates should have completed a National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) Level-I Course in Food Production or Kitchen Management from the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) or from an NSDC-recognized institution.
