Syllabus for Computer Based Test (CBT)
A) General Intelligence and Reasoning:
This section assesses analytical aptitude and pattern recognition skills, primarily through non-verbal questions. Topics include analogies, similarities, differences, spatial visualization, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationships, arithmetical reasoning, figural classification, number series, coding, and decoding.
B) General Knowledge and General Awareness:
This part tests your awareness of the environment and current events. Questions will cover India and its neighboring countries, focusing on sports, history, culture, geography, economic scene, general polity, Indian Constitution, and scientific research. No specialized study is required for this section.
C) Elementary Mathematics:
This paper will contain questions on Number Systems, Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions, relationship between Numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, and Time and Work.
D) English/ Hindi:
This section evaluates your basic understanding of English or Hindi, including comprehension skills.
Physical Standard Test (PST)
Candidates will be shortlisted for the PST/PET based on their performance in the CBE. The tests will be conducted at various centers designated by the CAPFs.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates must successfully complete the following race categories within the specified time limits:
For Male Candidates:
- Other Regions: 5 Kms in 24 minutes.
- Ladakh Region: 1.6 Kms in 7 minutes.
For Female Candidates:
- Other Regions: 1.6 Kms in 8 ½ minutes.
- Ladakh Region: 800 metres in 5 minutes.
Medical Examination
Candidates who qualify in the PST and PET will be shortlisted for a Detailed Medical Examination (DME). This examination will be conducted by Medical Boards constituted by CAPFs to assess the physical and medical fitness of candidates according to the uniform guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
