The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam has successfully concluded the online application process for over 5,000 vacancies across multiple departments, including Assam Police, APRO, Assam Commando Battalions, DGCD & CGHG, the Prison Department, and the Directorate of Forensic Science.
Following the completion of applications, the Common Written Test (CWT) was conducted on April 6, 2025, for various Constable and equivalent posts. The results for Constable (AB/UB) positions were officially announced on May 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
As part of the next phase in the recruitment process, SLPRB will conduct the Oral/Viva Voce for shortlisted candidates starting from May 9, 2025. Candidates selected for this round can download their admit cards beginning at 11:00 AM on May 5, 2025, from the official SLPRB Assam website.

Assam Police Recruitment Selection Process 2025
The selection process for Assam Police Constable Recruitment involves several stages. Candidates applying for other posts should refer to the official advertisements for detailed instructions. Below are the key stages of the recruitment process:
1. Physical Standards Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates who submit valid online applications will be required to undergo the following tests:
PST (Physical Standards Test): Measures the candidate’s height, weight, and chest (for male candidates only). It also includes preliminary checks for physical deformities, such as:
- Knock Knee
- Vision test
- Colour blindness test
- Flat feet
- Varicose veins
- Other physical deformities
PET (Physical Efficiency Test): After passing the PST, candidates will move on to the PET. The PET tests the physical endurance of candidates but does not carry marks.
Any candidate found with physical deformities detected during the medical check-ups will be disqualified from participating in the further recruitment process.
2. Preliminary Document Verification
Before being allowed to appear for the PST and PET, candidates must undergo document verification:
Original Documents Verification: Candidates must provide original documents and photocopies to prove their eligibility.
Rejection Notices: Applicants whose documents are found to be incorrect or incomplete will receive a rejection notice with reasons provided.
Fraudulent Documents: Candidates submitting false or forged documents will be disqualified and may face criminal prosecution.

4. Important Notes:
Disqualification: Any candidate failing to qualify in any of the events during the PST or PET will be immediately eliminated from the recruitment process.
Eligibility for Written Test: Meeting the minimum qualifying standards in the PST and PET does not guarantee eligibility to appear for the Written Test.
Merit List: After the completion of the PST and PET for all candidates, a merit list will be created based on the total marks scored in the PET. The marks will be converted into a percentage.
Written Test Call-Up: Candidates will be called for the Written Test based on the merit list. Five times the number of vacancies in each category will be invited for the test.
